QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Commission details & guidelines

Key insights into working from multiple photographs, studio scheduling, archival materials, and worldwide delivery.

Can you combine family members from separate, older photographs?

Yes. Most generational commissions involve relatives photographed in different years, lightings, and countries. Hamarich harmonizes perspective, anatomy, and chiaroscuro into one united, natural composition.

How long does a private commission take?

Generally 4 to 8 weeks from preliminary sketch approval to completion. Because every drawing requires 80 to 200 hours of meticulous hand craftsmanship, only a limited number of clients are accepted each quarter.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes. Finished masterworks are sealed in reinforced custom wooden crates and shipped via tracked, fully insured DHL Express courier to private residences and galleries worldwide.

What archival materials and framing standards are used?

Every piece is hand-drawn on 100% cotton acid-free European paper (Fabriano Artistico / Arches) using lightfast graphite, carbon, and professional charcoal, sealed with museum-grade UV fixative.
