THE STORY

How it was made

Created over 180 hours of meticulous graphite layering. The contrast between the embroidered gold threads of the ceremonial royal kaba, the soft weave of the hand-spun Ethiopian netela, and the weathered dignity in the patriarch’s eyes exemplifies Hamarich’s mastery of light, texture, and generational reverence.

“[A profound three-generational masterwork capturing an elder mother in hand-spun netela, a daughter in a royal ceremonial velvet kaba and crown, and a venerable patriarch leaning on his cane.]”
